The Buccelletti Family

Casali in Val di Chio by Famiglia Buccelletti is a company through which the women of the family work together to provide hospitality in our beautiful Tuscan villas. We offer tastings of our products along with many services and amenities to make your holiday in Tuscany an unforgettable experience.

  • lidia

    Lidia Castellucci

    Lidia was born and raised in Castiglion Fiorentino. Married to Bartolomeo Buccelletti, she is one of the founders, along with sister-in-law Roberta, of the company Casali in Val di Chio. She acquired the sommelier diploma after completing courses to improve her knowledge of winemaking techniques. Her deep passion for wine always has lead to a continuous creativity in the cellar and new products. She stopped her studies of physical therapy for family reasons when she was young and managed with determination to achieve her goal of receiving a diploma in Naturopathy recently and now is at your disposal for advice on natural cures. For the same motives and passion she personally takes care of the family vegetable garden, which is available to guests.

    Equipped with a strong empathy for others, she is always a reference works with the team and to solve any difficulties or unexpected situations that may arise. Her ability to relate led her to found the Association of Tour Operators of Castiglion Fiorentino which represents the entire territory where she is currently the active President.

    Roberta Giaccherini

    Roberta was born and raised in Castiglion Fiorentino. She graduated in 1992, shortly after she began her teaching career. In 1993 she married Cesare Buccelletti and shortly thereafter she decided to radically change her life: with her sister-in-law Lidia, she decided to pursue her dream to revitalize the family business that fell into abandonment. She began to take courses to learn more about wine-making, wine, and hospitality. Thus began the story of “Casali in Val di Chio”, She welcomed and familiarized guests to the area often with a good glass of wine.

    After nearly 25 years in the industry, Roberta is still passionate about her work, she likes to tell the story of the family and pass on the knowledge that she has gained. Roberta handles the administrative part of the company, she also has a great eye for design and works closely to design each of our wine, olive oil labels and company branding.

  • renee

    Renee Buccelletti

    Renee is American from Southern California. She lived in Castiglion Fiorentino while she was studying her bachelors degree in Landscape Architecture. During this time she met Michele Buccelletti, now her husband, thanks to a grape harvest organized by Famiglia Buccelletti and the local university she was attending; Santa Chiara. At first they moved to California and lived in San Diego for four years where she gained extensive knowledge in marketing and business. While starting to plan for a family they decided it was time to go back to Italy and start working within the family business to keep beautiful history of the family alive for another generation.

    Renee loves what she does and loves to welcome guests in Tuscany to make sure they have a wonderful and authentic experience of Tuscany. After having her wedding here at the property she was inspired to start the wedding business which she actively runs today with the family. She works directly with travel agents and guests to provide the highest customer service and you will see her around the winery with her son, Gianni. Renee enjoys working with people and developing long-term relationships with our guests.

    Federica Papini

    Born and raised in Castiglion Fiorentino, Federica graduated in Labour Consulting in 2013. During her studies she has always worked in the retail field and learned about the importance of customer service.

    After her marriage to Bruno Buccelletti occurred in July 2015, she has brought her version of high customer service to the family business. In the company she coordinates wine tastings, brings creativity, assists in wedding planning and manages supplier relationships.

    Giusy Greco

    Giusy was born in Bronte (Sicily), and worked alongside Lidia and Roberta since 2006. She has not only become a part of the family, but it is a key member of our team. She deals directly with suppliers and manages the organizational side of things to make our guests’ vacation smooth and pleasant. Giusy loves meeting people from all over the world and does everything possible to be certain that our customers will have the best experience while here in Tuscany.

    It often happens that a letter or note arrives in the mail from a past guest because they become friends and are they are struck by her loving personality. Every day she is available for the numerous requests from clients, offers tips and suggestions to ensure that the customer can enjoy a wonderful vacation.


  • Samuel Frosini

    Born in Prato with Sicilian origins, Samuel is the new entry of the Buccelletti family.
    His passion for agriculture was born at the age of 8 in his grandparents’ small vegetable garden. He always imagined himself immersed in nature.

    Graduating with honors from the A. Vegni Agricultural Institute, he immediately showed great dedication to the job, despite his very young age. Calm, availability and kindness are the adjectives that most distinguish him. it is thanks to these qualities, together with studies made on food and wine, that make it the perfect element to manage the tasting room.

    Samuel also has responsibility for managing all European and American shipments of the company’s products
